Safe in His Arms Program: A Path Toward Stability
Introduction
Safe in His Arms provides Christ-centered transitional support for pregnant women and mothers with children who are working toward safe housing, personal stability, employment, and a stronger future for their families.
Womanhood During the Womanhood Phase, participants prepare for childbirth, strengthen important life skills, and begin planning for stable housing and employment. Services may include * Temporary housing and essential personal and household supplies * An assessment of barriers to stable housing, education, and employment * Pregnancy, childbirth, and labor education and support * Weekly counseling or counseling referrals * Financial-literacy, employment-readiness, and life-skills workshops * Referrals to community resources, including GED preparation, TANF, healthcare, benefits, and housing agencies * Assistance developing a one-year, three-year, and five-year Strategic Life Plan * Connections to prenatal and postpartum care and other appropriate service
During the Head of Household Phase, mothers build the skills, resources, and confidence needed to care for their children and manage an independent household. Services may include * Parenting and child-development workshops * Continued life-skills and financial-literacy workshops * Employment-readiness and employment-support services * Regular goal-setting meetings with program staff * Weekly Bible study and spiritual encouragement * Assistance developing a savings plan after employment is secured * Referrals to safe, appropriate childcare resources * Continued access to essential baby supplies, including diapers, clothing, new cribs, feeding chairs, and new car seats * Continued progress reviews based on each participant’s Strategic Life Plan Anticipated outcomes Participants will work toward: * Caring safely and confidently for their infants and children * Locating appropriate childcare *

Safe in His Arms is a Christ-centered shelter program supporting pregnant women and mothers with children as they work toward safe housing, healthy motherhood, employment, and long-term stability.
Participants may receive temporary housing, essential supplies, pregnancy support, life-skills and parenting education, employment assistance, community referrals, spiritual encouragement, and help developing a personalized Strategic Life Plan.
